A large tree is blocking a portion of Mudd Avenue near Moss Street in Lafayette.
The tree fell through a fence and is laying across the roadway.
Scott Brazda was live at the scene on Saturday morning.
Residents in the area say they are currently without power. Crews in Lafayette are making their rounds Saturday to assess damage and are making plans to clean up and restore power.

The Lafayette Parish curfew will lift at 8:00 am. Officials say that those who do not need to travel should remain home so that crews can complete restoration and clean up efforts.
