The deadline to nominate someone for the LEF 2020 Teacher Awards is Thursday.

Winners will be announced at the annual awards event, set for January 29, 2020.

Nominees must be active educators in Lafayette Parish public, charter, private, or parochial school systems, in grades PreK-4-12.

Visit www.lefoundation.org for the PreK-4 Eligibility Policy. Nominees can be a current or past teacher who has made a difference in someone's life.

You can find the nomination form here.

Here are the rules:

Online nominations must be fully completed to be eligible. Must include explanation of why the educator is being nominated. Please be specific about what it is this educator has done to make an outstanding difference in your life or the life of someone you know. Paint a picture or tell a story about a particular (unique) experience that left an enduring impression.

Note: It is the explanation that the selection committee considers when choosing the awards finalist, not the number of nominations received. LEF discourages having students submitting nominations as part of a graded classroom assignment. It is strongly suggested that nominations submitted by children aged 12 and under be accompanied by a letter from a parent or guardian.

Nomination Deadline: October 31, 2019

Please visit www.lefoundation.org or call 337.234.3229 for more information.
