Calls for accountability continue over the shooting death of Trayford Pellerin by Lafayette Police.

Friday marks two weeks since the shooting, and there are new accusations and questions about what happened. Some of those questions coming from the Pellerin family attorney and community activists.

The Lafayette Police Department was the topic of the night at a community discussion held by The Village. The group wants officers to have more training to better de-escalate situations, and they're hoping tonight's dialogue leads to change.

Thursday, they called for law enforcement and city officials to address what's happening with the investigation and in the wake of Trayford Pellerin's shooting by Lafayette Police.

"I would encourage them to speak up more and say 'these things that are happening in my community are wrong,'" said Jamal Taylor.

The meeting comes after an independent autopsy report released by the Pellerin family attorney that shows Pellerin was shot at least 10 times. Attorneys say there is no evidence he was Tased, but they allege officers handcuffed Pellerin's "limp and lifeless body."

Devon Norman with the Lafayette NAACP added, "It's very disheartening but not surprising. It gives us even more of push for us to continue to do what we're doing. Like I told the council on yesterday, we will continue to march."

Community activists are planning to have a vigil for Pellerin Friday evening at the gas station where he was killed.
