In a plot twist, a disturbance in the central Atlantic has developed into a tropical storm and will get the name Wilfred.
This is NOT the storm in the Gulf of Mexico which is still a Tropical Depression for now, but is expected to become a tropical storm on Friday.
When that occurs the storm will be given the name Alpha which will be the first Greek storm since 2005.
A Hurricane Hunter airplane was headed to the depression when it was struck by lightning and forced to turn back around, another aircraft will head to the storm Friday evening.
Obviously the change in name won't have a change in the impacts and you can find that forecast here.
