The mother of an inmate found dead at the Iberia Parish Jail says she thinks her son was murdered.
She says Raymond Bonnet was in jail for not paying child support.
The Iberia Parish Coroner's Office says it's still investigating the cause of death, but Bonnet's mother says he was found with sheets around his neck.
"Loreauville is in shock," said Bonnet's mother, Wyoletta Welch. "He was one of the best football players that came out of Loreauville and this town is blowing up, not understanding how or why he would do anything like that."
