A second vigil for two brothers who were shot in New Iberia on Sunday was scheduled for Tuesday night, but it didn't happen as planned.

Balloons and candles remain where 13-year-old Demarcus Brown, Jr. was shot to death. A candlelight vigil was set to take place Tuesday on Johnston St. in New Iberia.

However, right before it started, the organizer postponed the vigil until Friday. Some people, not knowing about the change in plans, still showed up.

They led a prayer and lit a candle and made plans to return on Friday.

The rescheduled vigil will take place at 8 p.m.

Family members tell KATC that Brown's 18-year-old brother, Tre'gon Normal, remains in a coma in a Lafayette hospital.
