The dog days of summer have arrived here in south Louisiana and as a result it is shaping up to be a hot, humid but ultimately quiet forecast through the week.
Highs in the afternoon will be in the lower 90s with a heat index pushing the upper 90s, and lows are going to be dropping into the low 70s with sticky conditions lasting through out.
Skies will remain mostly sunny, although as summer typically goes, it looks like there will be a chance for showers day in and day out through the rest of the work week.
It's that time of year when water and staying cool become all that more important and as we get further into summer the importance will only grow so please take care of yourselves and take the heat seriously.
