High heat back for the start of the week

It'll be another day of high heat across Acadiana as the heat index will once again push well into the triple digits with the feel like temperature running around 108-110 in the afternoon.

This means that for yet another day we'll have a Heat Advisory until 8:00 p.m. Monday as thermometers will be reading in the mid 90s during the hottest parts of the day.

Monday gets started with mostly sunny skies but a few clouds will start popping up around lunch time, and there's a chance for a few showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon.

It's not a guarantee of rain, and many of us will stay dry, but at a 40% chance it's going to be our best chance for a little rain through the rest of the work week.

While it'll still be plenty hot the rest of the week the heat won't be quite as intense as what we've seen over the last several days, and rain chances will drop back to isolated.
