Frosty weather to start the day

Posted
and last updated

It's been a frosty start to the day so far, but despite some crunchy lawns there's going to be a decent warm up courtesy of some relaxed winds and plenty of sunshine.

The highs on Tuesday afternoon are going to work their way up into the upper 50s, and lows will be back down in the upper 30s as skies stay clear through the day and into the overnight hours.

Wednesday will be a different story, even though we should wake up to sunshine, it won't be long before clouds start to make a return and by lunch time it'll be mostly gray skies.

There's another front that's going to move through late in the evening sparking some showers which will likely last into Thursday morning.

This may be accompanied by some thunderstorms although they should remain below severe criteria, with a couple stronger storms possible in Cameron Parish and east Texas.

It'll take a little longer to get the clouds to clear so expect mostly cloudy skies through the back half of the work week, but clearing by the weekend.

Temperatures expected to stay cool through the rest of the week
