A cold front has moved through the area bringing with it a round of stubborn cloud cover and cool temperatures that will set the stage for a beautiful weekend forecast across Acadiana.
Clouds will linger through the first half of the day but as we get into Friday afternoon we should start to see a little bit of clearing, and clear skies will allow temperatures to drop headed into Saturday morning.
Highs on Friday will stay in the upper 60s with the clouds but the real cool down arrives in the evening with lows dropping into the lower 50s/upper 40s by Saturday morning, again courtesy of those clear skies.
After a chilly start on Saturday the weather gets perfect with highs in the mid 70s and wall to wall sunshine to start the weekend, while it'll be a little warmer on Sunday it remains in the low 80s with plenty of sun.
The work week is looking a little more unsettled but even then it's ultimately a fairly quiet forecast with temperatures running a little warmer through the week.
