Lafayette Parish Friends of the Library announces biannual Book Sale date

Lafayette Parish Friends of the Library will hold its biannual Book Sale in the Heymann Center ballroom on Wed. Sept.11 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for members of Friends of the Library; customers may join for $5 at the door. The public is invited for the rest of the sale on Thursday, Sept. 12 from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.; Friday Sept.13 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 14th from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Books are sold by the inch -- $1 per inch for hard backs and 50c per inch for paperbacks. Vinyl, DVDs, audio books, and CDs are priced individually.

Friends will also have a Special Books table featuring individually prices books sold separately. The books will be sold for $10 -- $25 and will include books of special interests--first edition books, books autographed by the author, and over-sized books including coffee table books--large, expensive, lavishly illustrated books intended for casual reading.

So far, the Friends have donated more than $85,000 to the Lafayette Public Library. Their goal-- a million.
