The Louisiana Department of Corrections announced on Monday that a fourth member of its staff has died from COVID-19.
According to DOC Secretary James Le Blanc, Corrections Master Sergeant Henry Turner of Woodville, Mississippi passed away on Saturday, July 18. He was 65 years old.
Turner began his career at Angola on February 5, 1996 and was employed at the Louisiana State Penitentiary for more than 24 years.
Two of Turner's three sons also work in Corrections at Louisiana State Penitentiary.
He leaves behind a wife and three sons as well as numerous other family members and friends.
