After a soggy day on Tuesday it is a return to the summer norm for Wednesday's forecast.

A quiet, mostly sunny start to the day will eventually give way to towering clouds starting to pop up across Acadiana.

As is generally the case these clouds eventually will give way to scattered showers and a few thunderstorms through the afternoon.

Storms shouldn't get as strong as they did on Tuesday but lightning will be likely around most of the storms and heavy downpours will also be possible.

Highs are back in the upper 80s with a heat index that runs closer to 100 with all the humidity we have in place, lows Wednesday night will fall in the low to mid 70s.

This forecast basically repeats itself for the remainder of the week with maybe one or two less showers.
