A few more scattered storms around for Father's Day.

Good Saturday afternoon, y'all! Another hot and dry day across Acadiana today as highs topped out in the lower 90s under partly cloudy skies.

It'll be another muggy night as lows drop into the low to mid 70s.

Father's Day will start out quiet before we begin to see clouds building into late morning and continuing into the afternoon. We are likely to see a bit more scattered storms in the afternoon as upper-level ridging begins to move off toward our east. Not looking at a washout for dad, but be on the lookout for some storms developing in the afternoon as highs top out close to 90.

As we head into next work week, scattered storm chances will remain on the higher side as a couple of upper-level features move in from the west. These features, coupled with daytime heating/more available Gulf moisture, will give us a good bet at seeing scattered storms Monday through Thursday. Highs will stick around the mid to upper 80s all week long.

Drier air looks to move into the region by late next week and into next weekend which will bring rain chances back down to around 20%. Y'all have a great rest of the weekend!

In the tropics: Tropics remain quiet.
