Six of the seven candidates vying for the 3rd Congressional District race took part in a candidate forum Wednesday night.
The crowded field includes four Democrats, “Rob” Anderson, Mimi Methvin, Larry Rader, and Verone Thomas; two Republicans, Josh Guillory and U.S. Rep. Clay Higgins; and one Libertarian, Aaron Andrus.
Rader was scheduled to attend, but backed out of the forum citing a last-minute scheduling conflict.
The forum was organized by One Acadiana and focused on issues relevant to the business community. In a ‘Jeopardy’- style format, the candidates answered questions on topics including infrastructure, national security, education and workforce, and the economy.
