A proposed sales tax in Scott has failed.
Voters were asked to approve a 1-cent sales tax to be collected in the city and used to pay for police and fire services. A similar measure for fire and police failed in March 2019. You can read more on that here.
The tax failed by a vote of 51%. 3,732 total residents voted.
YES - 49% (1,833)
NO - 51% (1,899)
