OPELOUSAS, La. — Chad Pitre has won the election for District Attorney for the 27th Judicial District Court beating incumbent Charles Cravins in a close race.

With all precincts reporting, Pitre has 20,451 votes, or 52%, while Cravins has 18,687 votes, or 48% of the vote.

The total number of votes is at 39,138.
