On Saturday, June 6, Bishop Douglas Deshotel will ordain two men to the priesthood at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist.
The Ordination Mass will begin at 10:00 am.
According to the Diocese, Deacon Andrew Killeen and Deacon John Joseph Bourque are both Lafayette natives and graduates of St. Thomas More High School and Notre Dame Seminary.
Deacon Killeen is the son of Daniel and Lisa Smith Killeen and is sponsored by St. Pius X Church in Lafayette.
Deacon John Joseph is the son of Jared and Simone Bourque and is a professed brother of the Community of Jesus Crucified in St. Martinville.
