ZACHARY, La. (AP) - Authorities say a Zachary homeowner shot a nude man who forced his way into a home.
The Advocate reports that the shooting happened early Sunday morning. The East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office told the paper that the homeowner said he went outside to investigate why his dog was barking and discovered the man.
The homeowner said he told the man several times to back up but he didn't listen. The sheriff's office said the homeowner shot him after he forced his way into the home.
The incident is under investigation by the sheriff's office. The newspaper said the man's medical condition wasn't released.
