When freezing temperatures left water services unavailable in North Louisiana, one Shreveport family got creative.
A crawfish pot filled with snow became a makeshift bathtub for Marie Harper's children on Wednesday night.
The family first heated the pot to melt the snow, stirring occasionally with a boiling paddle. Once melted, the pot was moved onto the ice to cool it off.
After the pot became cool enough to sit in, each kid jumped in for a for a quick, warm bath outside.
"We have no running water. But we have melted snow... and clean kids," Harper said in a Facebook post.
See video of the whole bathing process below:
Harper's sister Danielle shared a post on Twitter:
Y'all... I cannot. I'm dying. With no water service, my sister just used their crawfish pot to melt snow and warm up the water in order to give the kids a bath tonight.
