Governor John Bel Edwards was sworn in for this second term in office on Monday, January 13 on the steps of the Louisiana State Capitol in Baton Rouge.
In his inaugural address the governor highlighted that early childhood education and workforce development will be his top priorities for Louisiana over the next four years.
Gov. Edwards also said that he will also focus on the continued funding for roads and bridges, getting to work on coastal restoration projects that will create more land than Louisiana is losing and ensuring Louisiana has the best cybersecurity defense of any state.
