BATON ROUGE — The Louisiana Secretary of State's Office is responding to voters' complaints about issues with Saturday's party primary elections.

As we reported last night, voters from both the Republican and Democratic parties contacted KATC, saying they were not allowed to vote in their party's presidential primary or their party's parish and state committee elections. In a statement, the Secretary of State's press secretary, Tyler Brey, said the following: "We are aware of the report and looking into it in more detail."

Lafayette Mayor-President Josh Guillory says voters who experienced problems at their polling place on Saturday should contact their local registrar of voters office.
