A traffic stop on I-10 East near Port Allen lead to the discovery of more than two pounds of methamphetamine.

State Police say around 1:40 am on Tuesday, August 11, troopers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on I-10 east in West Baton Rouge Parish.

During the traffic stop, troopers say they suspected criminal activity and requested consent to search the vehicle.

Troopers say the meth was discovered upon the search.

The driver of the vehicle, 26-year-old Amanda Crawford and her passenger, 30-year-old Roosevelt Thompson, both of Mobile, Alabama, were arrested and booked into the West Baton Rouge Parish Jail.

The two were booked on charges of Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule II Drugs.
