Student arrested for making threat at Grand Lake High School

A 16-year-old student was arrested Wednesday, October 9 after allegedly making a threat while at Grand Lake High School.

The Cameron Parish Sheriff's Office says they received a complaint about the threat on Wednesday night.

Deputies say that investigators determined that the threat was made by the student who was on campus during after school hours.

The student was arrested and booked on a charge of terrorizing. The student was not found to be in possession of any weapons.

The Sheriff's Office says that they takes the safety of all students, faculty, and staff of parish schools very seriously and have a zero tolerance policy when it comes to these types of complaints.
