State Police have posted a video that shows some of the conditions in north Louisiana, but also offers tips to motorists who have to travel in snowy or icy weather.
"A mixture of snow and sleet have been falling in Central Louisiana, Northwest Louisiana, and Northeast Louisiana, making roadways dangerous for travel. Troopers are working numerous crashes and assisting motorists, who have become disabled. We are asking citizens to refrain from all unnecessary travel," the post states. "This video gives a little insight of some conditions that Troopers are experiencing and some safety information. Conditions are rapidly deteriorating, by the minute, as temperatures continue to fall and frozen precipitation increases."
