Louisiana State Police said LA 12 about four miles east of the Louisiana/Texas state line is closed in both directions following a crash.
The road is expected to be closed for several hour while an 18-wheeler, involved in a single-vehicle crash, is recovered.
Troopers ask motorists to use an alternate route and visit la511.org or use the 511 app for updates.
