Protesters in New Orleans have closed part of the Pontchartrain Expressway for the second night in a row, according to our media partners at Nola.com.
A large crowd was on the expressway around 9:30, heading toward the Crescent City Connection over the Mississippi River.
Video from Nola.com shows what appear to be police vehicles blocking access to the Crescent City Connection.
A reporter from The New Orleans Advocate tweeted that organizers and others in the crowd were pleading with people to "fall back, fall back," and "come back tomorrow with goggles," after police officers reportedly fired tear gas into the crowd.
Most of the protesters left after police fired the tear gas, but a couple dozen remained, Nola.com reports.
