New Orleans' Saenger Theatre to reopen in December

The Saenger Theatre in New Orleans will be opening next month following its closure because of the partial collapse of the Hard Rock Hotel.

The theater announced that they will be opening its doors on Wednesday, December 11, 2019. Criss Angel RAW - The Mindfreak Unplugged will be the first performance in the theater since its closing.

Officials say that entertainment will continue this year with three performances by Lauren Daigle on December 13-15. A CHRISTMAS STORY, THE MUSICAL as part of the 2019-2020 Hancock Whitney Broadway in New Orleans season from December 17-22.

"We are grateful to the New Orleans community for their patience and understanding as we worked through the temporary closure. The Saenger Theatre has been a beloved part of our city since 1927 and will continue to be for years to come. We are thrilled to welcome the community back to the theater and are ready to continue providing incredible live entertainment to the Gulf Region," The Saenger said.
