CAMERON PARISH — The Cameron Parish Sheriff's Office say the search for a missing 82-year-old has ended.
The Sheriff's Office says that 82-year-old Alva Antony Hidalgo, Jr. Who was reported missing on Friday has been found dead in Rapides Parish.
Deputies say that Hidalgo was discovered Sunday morning, having been involved in a vehicle crash. KPLC reports that Hidalgo was found deceased inside his truck, which was submerged in a ditch on Muddy Bayou Road. Cameron Parish Sheriff Johnson said the road was flooded.
The Sheriff's Office ask that the public keep the Hidalgo family in their prayers.
Hidalgo was reported missing from his northern Cameron Parish home on Friday. His family told authorities that he suffered from dementia.
