SILVER ALERT: Authorities searching for missing Cameron Parish man with dementia

Louisiana State Police has issued a Silver Alert on behalf of the Cameron Parish Sheriff's Office for 82-year-old Alva Antony Hidalgo, Jr.

Deputies are requesting assistance in locating Hidalgo after he was reported missing from his home in northern Cameron Parish on Friday.

Hidalgo is a Hispanic male with gray hair and hazel-colored eyes. He is 5'7" and weighs approximately 200 lbs. Mr. Hidalgo was last seen at his residence at 122 Big Lake Street at 12 p.m. Friday, wearing blue jeans and a gray shirt. Police say he also may be wearing a blue jean jacket. He goes by the name "Tony."

Mr. Hidalgo may be driving a silver 2019 Ford F150 with Louisiana license plate C945634.

Family members confirm Mr. Hidalgo suffers from dementia and his medical condition may impair his judgement.

It is possible that Mr. Hidalgo is in Southeast Texas.
