A local organization will be joining other civil rights groups to march on Friday to shed light on the killing of Trayford Pellerin in Lafayette.

The Village will join the NAACP, the New Black Panther Party, the Louisiana branch of the ACLU, and other groups to march to the state capitol building in Baton Rouge on Friday September 11, 2020.

The group says their intent is to "shed light on the killing of Trayford Pellerin and for all people who have died or have been injured at the hands of police."

The march, according to The Village is set to begin at 3:30 p.m. at the steps of the Louisiana State Capitol on North Third Street in Baton Rouge. It will then move to the Louisiana Attorney General's office.

The march will end at the Governor's Mansion.
