The Louisiana Supreme Court has further delayed almost all trials, hearings and court appearances in any state court until at least June 30.
The court issued a new order on Wednesday that advises lower courts how to proceed with hearings and trials regarding the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.
The supreme court states that no civil or criminal jury trial shall commence in any state court before June 30.
The latest order keeps in place all other provisions of the April 6 order.
According to the court, remote proceedings in civil matters from the April 6 order also remains in place.
