Just a few weeks after LSU President F. King Alexander was named the next president of Oregon State University, Louisiana Commissioner of Administration Jay Dardenne has said he is "interested in the job," reports The Advocate.
In an interview with The Advocate, Dardenne said that besides his current job, the only other one he would be interested in is "that presidency."
Dardenne didn't answer the question of his taking the job directly, and said he will wait to decide until "after the search process is in place."
Alexander's last day as president will be December 31 and will work with the LSU Board of Supervisors until March 31, 2020.
The Board of Supervisors will conduct a national search for Alexander's replacement.
