KATC is joining six other Louisiana stations in airing a Gubernatorial debate, the last one scheduled ahead of the October 12th election.

It will take place at the KSLA News 12 studios in Shreveport, Louisiana on October 9, 2019.

KATC, a Scripps-owned television station, will air the debate live from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. We will join the Gray Television stations based in Louisiana including WVUE-News Orleans, WAFB-Baton Rouge, KSLA-Shreveport, KNOE-Monroe, KPLC-Lake Charles and KALB-Alexandria. One journalist from each of the Gray stations will participate.

Among the criteria established to determine eligibility to participate in this debate is the requirement that all participants achieve 5% or higher in a poll commissioned by Gray Television and its partners. The poll results will be released Monday, October 7 and will be the final determination for participation of each candidate.
