5:00 pm UPDATE: I-10 West remains closed at LA 415 (Lobdell) due to vehicle recovery operations at LA 975 (Whiskey Bay). Congestion has reached Dalrymple Drive on I-10 West and North 22nd Street on I-110 South.
Motorists are advised to use US 190 West as an alternate route.
DOTD reports that motorists should expect heavier than normal delays on US 190 West from Baton Rouge to Opelousas due to several incidents in the area. They also report congestion on US 190 West from US 71 to LA 741 (Port Barre) due to an accident in the area.

UPDATE: I-10 West remains closed at Lobdell due to an overturned tractor trailer near Whiskey Bay.
As of 1:45 pm, crews are on scene working to remove the vehicle from the roadway. Here's a picture of what's happening:
Congestion has reached the Mississippi River Bridge and motorists are advised to use US 190 West as an alternate route.
I-10 West at Lobdell was closed early this morning following the incident which involved a tractor trailer overturning at milepost 129 on the Whiskey Bay Bridge.
State Police did not give a time frame for when the roadway would reopen.
