Funeral services for former Gov. Kathleen Blanco will begin on Thursday, August 22. The celebration of life will last three days.
On Thursday, a Celebration of Life Interfaith Service will be held at St. Joseph Cathedral in Baton Rouge from 10 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. An Honor Procession will be held from 12:30 p.m. - 12:45 p.m. on the steps of the Louisiana State Capitol.
On Saturday, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John the Evangelist Cathedral, located at 914 St. John St. in Lafayette. The service will last from 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Both services will be aired live on KATC and katc.com/live.
Gov. Blanco will be buried Saturday in a private service.
