Flyovers took place across the state on Friday to honor health care and essential workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.
On Friday morning, B-52 bomber pilots flew over medical centers in New Orleans and Baton Rouge.

And in St. Landry Parish, a WW2 T-6 Texan and three other aircraft flew from the St. Landry Parish Airport to Opelousas General and Acadian Medical Center.
The flyover was in salute to health care workers and victims of the coronavirus in St. Landry Parish.
