Entergy: Less than 5,200 without power on Tuesday

Entergy says that less than 5,200 customers remain without power on Tuesday. 441 of those customers are in Acadiana.

Crews worked overnight in parishes across Louisiana to restore power to customers effected by Hurricane Barry.

Restoration efforts are expected to continue tonight in the hardest hit areas of Baton Rouge, Lafourche and Terrebonne parishes. Entergy says that customers in those areas should be back on line by Wednesday, July 17.

As of Tuesday, July 16, over 4,000 Entergy workers had restored power to more than 325,590 customers.

Most parishes are expected to have a majority of Entergy customers restored overnight on Tuesday, July 16.

Entergy has provided a breakdown by parish of those customers still affected by outages.

East Baton Rouge Parish
Number of outages as of 8 a.m.: 951
Percentage of damage assessments complete: 100%
The majority of customers will be restored on Tuesday, July 16 by 10 p.m. with the remaining customers being restored Wednesday, July 17.

West Baton Rouge Parish
Number of outages as of 8 a.m.: 75
Percentage of damage assessments complete: 100%
The majority of customers will be restored on Tuesday, July 16 by 10 p.m. with the remaining customers being restored Wednesday, July 17.

Lafayette Parish
Number of outages as of 8 a.m.: 11
Percentage of damage assessments complete: 100%
The majority of customers will be restored on Tuesday, July 16 by 6 p.m. with the remaining customers being restored Wednesday, July 17.

Acadia Parish
Number of outages as of 8 a.m.: 20
