An alleged impaired driver crashed into the State Police Troop E building in Alexandria on Sunday morning.
State Police say the crash happened before 5:00 am on December 29, when a vehicle driven by 50-year-old Felicia Payne of Alexandria left the roadway and struck an exterior wall of the building. The impact, according to Troopers, caused significant damage to the exterior wall and interior offices.
Troopers arrested Payne after she submitted to a breath alcohol test which they say registered over the legal limit. No injuries occurred in the incident.
