Strangers in Vernon Parish came together to honor a veteran who died with no known family to invite to his funeral, according to KALB.
Representatives with the cemetary in Leesville asked people to help Corporal Tommy Eugene Morrison have a proper send-off.
Dozens of people showed up to pay their respects.
