DOTD crews have been working throughout the night in preparation for opening I-10 in Baton Rouge.
Overnight on Tuesday, crews began loading salt into trucks to be used Wednesday morning.
De-icing work began on the on and off ramps on I-10 in Baton Rouge and on I-110.
Crews began first by scraping the roadway of ice and then spraying a brine solution overtop to prevent refreezing.
