DMV contractor plans extended hours tomorrow

Thib's Auto Titles and Tags, a private company that offers DMV services, will have extended hours tomorrow to help folks who couldn't do business last week.

State offices were shut down for about a day after a ransomware attack, but computers at the DMV had to be reimaged and so the office was closed all week.

Thib’s Auto Titles and Tags is a public tag agent with offices in Crowley, Scott, Broussard and Lake Charles. They're privately owned bu have a contract with the State of Louisiana to offer DMV services.

They will open Monday through Wednesday at 8 a.m. and will be open until 5:30 p.m. to help.

There is an extra fee charged by Thib's to do business there.

Here are the services they offer: Louisiana Title Transfers; License Plate Renewals; Driver's Licenses; Louisiana I.D.'s; Registration Services and Wildlife and Fisheries licenses.
