The application deadline for Southern University's Beginning Agricultural Youth Opportunities Unlimited (BAYOU) Program has been extended until May 1.

Hosted by the University’s College of Agricultural, Family and Consumer Sciences, the summer program offers a three-week virtual opportunity for high school seniors and incoming college freshmen to gain first-hand knowledge about career opportunities in Agriculture, Family and Consumer Sciences, Business or the natural sciences.

The program will be held from June 7 – 26, 2020.

To apply, Southern University says students must have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 and have completed 11th grade. Graduating high school seniors must have either an ACT (SAT equivalent) composite score of 20 or above, or a 2.5 GPA, or rank in the top 50% of their high school graduation class and require no more than one remedial course.

Applications are available online at https://bit.ly/3ceh9Qf. The deadline to submit is May 1, 2020.
