COVID-19: State update - 157,455 cases and 5,065 deaths

As of September 13, the number of coronavirus cases reported in Louisiana increased by 1,353 and the number of deaths had increased by 33, according to the Louisiana Department of Health.

The total number of cases in the state is now at 157,455 and the number of deaths is 5,065 as of Sunday.

LDH reports that 140,440 patients are "presumed recovered." (These numbers are normally updated on Mondays; last update 09/07/20).

Since Friday, 28,977 new tests have been reported to the state, bringing the total number of tests to 2,065,795.

According to LDH, 680 people are currently hospitalized (down 43 from Friday), and 107 of those are on ventilators (down 10 from Friday).

Calcasieu - 7,623 cases (up 131 | 200 deaths (up 2)

Evangeline - 1,262 cases (up 16) | 30 deaths (up 1)

Iberia - 2,844 cases (up 18) | 89 deaths (no change)

Jefferson Davis - 1,197 cases (up 6) | 38 deaths (up 1)

Lafayette - 8,687 cases (up 75) | 116 deaths (no change)

St. Landry - 3,230 cases (up 10) | 116 deaths (no change)

St. Martin - 2,046 cases (up 9) | 58 deaths (no change)

St. Mary - 1,825 cases (up 13) | 75 deaths (no change)

Vermilion - 1,979 (up 12) | 55 deaths (up 2)
