Nearly 200 cadets graduate from Youth Challenge Program

On Saturday, June 8, nearly 200 cadets graduated from the Louisiana National Guard Youth Challenge Program at Camp Beauregard.

The ceremony took place in Alexandria at The Pentecostals of Alexandria facility. The National Guard says that the graduates and hundreds of their family members gathered for the ceremony.

Magistrate Judge, Hon. Joseph H.L. Perez-Montes addressed the graduating class.

According to the Louisiana National Guard, the mission of the Youth Challenge Program is to intervene in and reclaim the lives of 16-18 year-old adolescents, to produce program graduates with the values, life skills, education, and self-discipline necessary to succeed as productive citizens.
