The man accused in the death of LSU Basketball player Wade Sims’ has been given a lower bail.
According to The Advocate, a judge reduced 20-year-old Dyteon Simpson’s bail from $350,000 to $149,000. The reduction was to allow Simpson to take part in East Baton Rouge Parish Prison programs that are not available to inmates with bail greater than $150,000.
The paper reports that Simpson is not “bailable” at this time and if someone comes forward to attempt to post bail, another hearing will be held.
He remains incarcerated.
Simpson is accused of shooting 20-year-old Wayde Sims on September 2018.
