State Police say they are currently on the scene after a plane crash-landed on I-10 East in Baton Rouge.
The plane reportedly landed at 10:00 am along I-10 East near Highland Road.
Troopers say the small private airplane landed on I-10 near the EBR/Ascension Parish line. One person was on board at the time of the crash landing, according to troopers.
Minor injuries were reported.
The Federal Aviation Administration is currently investigating the scene of the crash. State Police say that the aircraft will remain at the scene overnight so that the investigation can be completed. A trooper will remain in the area overnight until the plane can be removed safely.
Motorists can expect delays in the area and are advised to find an alternate route.
