One dead, two injured in Baton Rouge shooting on I-110

The Baton Rouge Police Department says that one man is dead and two others are injured following a shooting on I-110 on Tuesday night.

Police say the shooting occurred around 9:00 pm around the Government Street area in Baton Rouge.

One victim, 25-year-old Eric Davis of Baton Rouge died at a local hospital due to injuries sustained in the shooting. Two other victims, a 23-year-old and 17-year-old male, were also injured in the shooting.

WBRZ says that the victims drove themselves to the hospital.

Investigators say they believe that the shots were fired at the three victims from a passing vehicle as they were traveling northbound on I-110.

No suspects have been named at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
