Shreveport attempted kidnapping suspect wanted, may attack again

UPDATE: A suspect has been arrested, according to KSLA.

The Shreveport Police Department is searching for a man they believe to be responsible for a robbery and attempted kidnapping of a woman in Shreveport.

Police say the incident happened on February 10 at a gas station on Hollywood Avenue. They believe the man may attack again.

Video footage of the incident shows a black male wearing a two-toned blue jacket, blue jeans, brown boots and gloves approach a woman as she walked to her car. The man tackled the woman and forced her into the vehicle, according to police. The woman was able to hold onto her car keys and escape the vehicle.

The man reportedly stole several valuables from the car and fled the scene.

The suspect has yet to be identified in this case. Police say they believe the man will attack again. Anyone with information on the identity of the suspect is urged to contact the Shreveport Police Department at 318-673-6955. Calls can remain anonymous.
