Remember the pictures of all those kids at Spring Break in Florida recently?
Well, five students who were in those crowds are now testing positive for the virus, the University of Tampa says.
UT has been notified that five UT students, traveling together and with other UT students during Spring Break, have tested positive for COVID-19. We sincerely wish our students, and any others who may be affected, a full and rapid recovery. https://t.co/MXl4e1v3gh— The University of Tampa (@UofTampa) March 21, 2020
While the statistics show that younger people are less at risk for serious problems resulting from COVID-19, officials have repeatedly said that they should avoid socializing and big crowds because they can carry the virus back to their parents and grandparents and other people at risk - without knowing they have the virus.
